Fiesta! San Antonio!
If there were one event to define San Antonio, it would be Fiesta. Started in 1891 to honor the fallen soldiers of the battle of San Jacinto, the festivities consist of concerts, 5k runs, a military parade, and much more. Fiesta at Hemisphere

Join crowds of locals and tourists as they celebrate the kickoff of the 2018 Tricentennial Fiesta. Attendees can expect food, music, and fun at this free to the public event!
JBSA-Lackland Fiesta Military Parade

This Annual salute to Fiesta is free and open to all authorized DOD identification card holders and invited guests.
Taste of New Orleans
Friday, April 20, 2018, 5:00 PM- 12 AM – Japanese Tea Gardens – 3875 N St Mary’s St, San Antonio
A three-day event, Taste of New Orleans serves up food and music from ‘Nawlins. Admission is $12 presale, and the event is free for kids under 10
Fiesta Oyster Bake
Friday, April 20, 2018, 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm – St. Mary’s University Campus – 1 Camino Santa Maria, San Antonio
Celebrate the 102nd anniversary of this event which features over 100,000 oysters are served up raw, baked, and fried, along with live music and a full carnival. Admission is $27.00 kids under 12 attend free.
Battle of the Flowers Parade
Friday, April 27th 9:30 A.M.- 2:30 P.M.
The parade supports the community by giving to nonprofit organizations and is the only in the nation organized solely by female volunteers. The event in 2018 is exceptional as San Antonio is celebrating its tricentennial anniversary, Admission is $12 – $25. Celebrations commemorate the Mexican Army’s defeat of the invading French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Events include a festival with music and food at historic Market Square.

Yellow Ribbon Project
Sunday, May 6, 2018 – Saturday, May 19, 2018 – San Antonio Riverwalk – 849 E Commerce St, San Antonio
Ahead of the Armed Forces River Parade occurring on May 19th, participants will hang yellow ribbons on trees along the downtown Riverwalk in the name of those who have served. Ribbons may be purchased online April 6-27, 2018 and will be displayed May 6- May 19, 2018. Proceeds from the ribbon sale are used to fund the Armed Forces River Parade.

A parade for patriots! Dedicated to the men and women who have served or are serving and featuring over 20 floats this parade is one of the largest each year on the riverwalk and viewable from anywhere on the river.
