The warmer months are perfect for outdoor activities in the Fort Bragg area. There is something for everyone from fitness to festivals. It is time to get Out & About Fayetteville! Check out this list of fabulous finds in the area from May through July.

May
May 19th– Field of Honor Opening ceremony-Airborne and Special Operations Museum 10am-11am
May 21st-May 24th– All American Week – Fort Bragg
Many of the festivities this week are for the soldiers and their families, but Thursday, May 24 is the event you will not want to miss. This is the annual event showcasing the 82nd Airborne Division. It is fascinating to see!
May 25th– Downtown Fayetteville’s 4th Friday.
June
June 2 – 11th Annual Run for the Legend 5K
All proceeds benefit The Airborne and Special Operations Museum. There is a $20.00 registration fee until June 1st.
June 2 – Blues-n-Brews Festival 4pm-10pm.
Try out one of hundreds of specialty brews while listening to blues music in Festival Park in downtown Fayetteville. All proceeds support The Cape Fear Regional Theatre. Tickets start at $40.00.
June 9 – Father-Daughter Ball at the Iron Mike Conference Center 5pm
June 11-August 18th – Camp Rockaneering at The Climbing Place for children ages 6-14, $125 per week 8am-12noon. Camp runs weekly beginning June 11th, and camp is not offered the week of July 4th.
June 17 – Father’s Day Brunch at the Iron Mike Conference Center 10am-2pm
June 22 – Downtown Fayetteville’s 4th Friday.
June 23 – MWR 5K Walk/Run at Fort Bragg. This is a free event that is dog and stroller friendly. Dogs must be leashed.
July
July 4th – Fort Bragg’s July 4th Celebration at Main Post Parade Field 3pm-8pm Pets, Glass bottles, and grills not allowed. Non ID card holders will not be able to access the base for this event until after 12pm.
July 14th – Transforming Pain into Purpose Women’s Empowerment Experience with Richale R. Reed. Tickets start at $79.00.
