By Jenah Wieczorek, Army Spouse

Tis the season for buying gifts, so we created an all in one Military Gift Guide! With Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday upon us, we want to highlight some of our favorite military spouse and veteran entrepreneur small businesses. We did put a few things on our Military Gift Guide that are not made by one of our own but are great fits for military life. Remember, when you shop small business, you’re supporting a family and what better family than a fellow Milfam?

For the Military Spouses

The Rosie Project- Jenny and Kate are 2 milspouses making the cutest stuff inspired by military life. You can get a fun coffee cup, water bottle, Christmas Ornaments or hilarious PCS shirt! These are also the perfect gifts for Military Spouse Appreciation Day.

Brave Crate- A monthly subscription box filled with goodies to cheer you up during deployment? Sign us up! You can sign up yourself, your spouse, or a friend for a 1, 3, or 6-month subscription. This can be the gift that keeps on giving while letting that special Milspouse know they are loved.

Fit Ties- Not all hair ties are not all created equal. Meet the performance hair ties designed by a fellow Milspouse at Pretty Knotty. Fellow Milspouse and avid Crossfitter  Rebecca Alwine raves “I used to have to pause during my workouts to fix my hair. Now I don’t even think about it. FIT Ties keep every single hair in place, no matter the workout. Burpees, handstand push-ups, running – nothing phases these hair ties.”

She Swank Too Marketplace- The Rosie Military Lifestyle planner is perfect for military life! It’s not too big, not too small and has a cheat sheet of the federal holidays, PCS/deployment checklists, and more. Not to mention they are the most adorable planners! This website is filled with fun stuff and our second favorite gift from Milspouse Lakesha Cole, is the Pretty AF make up bag.

For the Service Members (Past and Present)

Bottle Breachers- Formed in the hot garage of a former Navy Seal, Bottle Breacher is a stylish way to open a cold one. These are authentic, decommissioned .50 caliber rounds that have been turned into bottle openers. You can gift them to groomsman, have them personalized for a unique Hail & Farewell or Unit gift, or maybe you give one to that special person about to retire from the military.

Pingree Detroit- This company is big on sustainability and has products handmade by Veterans in the U.S. The leather slim fit wallets seem like a good fit for men and women. Our personal favorite though is The Adeline Wristlet and Crossbody Clutch designed by Kaleb, a 24-year-old Army veteran who also hand stitches them in right there in Detriot.

Qalo wedding rings- Silicone wedding rings seem like a no-brainer if you’re in the military. PT, training,  or deployments, these rings stand up to the task. Don’t risk losing your wedding ring, rock these very affordable ones that are easily replaced if damaged or lost instead.

Grant PattonThese military themed ties are perfect for those Veterans and Servicemembers getting back into corporate America. Military spouse and former Pentagon official, Celeste Gventer, has designs that cover every branch so you can show your pride of serving in the military while at your new job. Bonus- a portion of every sale is donated back to a military charity, and these are made in the USA.

For the Military Kids

Little Trooper Books- This shop is filled with books, art prints, and shirts that are all military themed. We like the A is for Abrahams print personally! Snag your favorite military brat some fun branch swag at

United Through Reading- Military families are separated a lot with training, geo-baching, and deployments which means a parent is frequently absent. UTR will record the Servicemember reading a book and send the recording, along with a copy of the book, to the military child. Pop it in at night and you have Mommy or Daddy reading a book and the military kid following along. It’s such a special moment and an excellent gift for any military kid.

Brat Stamps-  Army brat Maddie has been living the military life and is proud to be called a military brat. She creates sticker decals that you can collect each duty station you move to. Show those decals with pride and embrace this adventurous lifestyle. Find your duty stations at

For the Pets

Boss Pet Company- Pets serve alongside us and what better way to showcase that than with a trendy bandana from this military spouse owned shop. Snag your favorite pet a branch, holiday, or personalized bandana here!

Clay Clay Design creates handmade pottery right here in the U.S. and has an entire section for pets! You can get personalized food and water bowls along with treat jars!

For The Home

Shop Westhouse- From handmade signs to gifts and apparel, Westhouse aims to help make your house feel like home and to take the guesswork out of gift giving. Our favorite gift is hands down the duty station signs.

Black Rifle Coffee- It is hard to find someone who does not like coffee so this gift seems like a good fit for almost anyone. The veteran-owned coffee can be found in numerous stores across the U.S. or ordered online. Coffee is also a good thing to pop into care packages!

Sugar and Spruce- Popsicle toasted marshmallow soap. Need we say more? Sugar + Spruce is the brick and mortar of three passions: skincare, sweets, and cheeky fun. Aesthetician Crystal Wellman is also cranking out bath bombs, scrubs, candles, beard balm, and so much more! These are perfect as gifts or stocking stuffers!

For Everyone Else

GovX- You looked through the entire Military Gift Guide but didn’t find that special gift. Now what?  May we suggest our friends at GovX who have hundreds of deals on their website. GovX is the largest e-commerce site for military and government families offering discounts on tactical brands, travel, sports tickets, apparel and so much more. Check out their Black Friday sale that just kicked off and features over 200 brands on sale. Shop til you drop without paying full price.
