Herndon 39th Annual Festival

Herndon, VA – June 1st – June 3rd from 5PM-11PM on Friday, 10AM-11PM on Saturday, and 10AM-6PM on Sunday

Herndon’s Annual Festival is back and this time it’s better than ever! Enjoy free entertainment, a carnival, the 10K/5K races and more at this all-weekend community event!

Flash Mob Friday at Tysons Biergarten

Tysons, VA – Fridays in June – June 1st, June 8th, June 15th, June 22nd, & June 29th from 10PM-2AM

DJ Franchi$e is here playing a whole host of hits to jam out to! Every hour on the hour he’ll be dropping a “flash mob” song that everybody can get down to. Did I mention it’s free admission? 21+

Forks, Corks, & Kegs

Clifton, VA – June 1st from 6PM-11PM

An amazing tasting festival! Try Virginia wine, a large selection of beer from local breweries, and a variety of food trucks! Admission is $65, includes all you can eat & drink.

Ice Cream Social at the Workhouse Arts Center

Lorton, VA – June 2nd from 12PM-4PM

An afternoon of fun down at the Workhouse! All proceeds from this event benefit the Workhouse Arts Ceramics Program. Enjoy live performances, a scavenger hunt, & more! It’s $20 for a handmade ceramics bowl, and they’ll fill it with ice cream!

Kingstowne, VA – Recurs weekly on Fridays until October 26th from 4PM-7PM

Free admission! There is also a Master Gardener Plant Clinic on site to answer your questions. Please note that the market is not able to accommodate pets, except for service animals.

McLean Farmer’s Market

McLean, VA – Recurs weekly on Fridays until November 16th from 8AM-12PM

Free admission! Similar to the Kingstowne Farmer’s Market, McLean also has a Master Gardener Plant Clinic on site to answer your questions. And the market is not able to accommodate pets, except for service animals.

Mount Vernon Nights Concert Series: South County High School Jazz Band

Lorton, VA – June 2nd from 7PM-8PM

Free admission! South County’s band has been named a Virginia Honor Band from 2006-2013 and 2015-2017, and this year they’re bringing a free performance to the Workhouse’s open quad.

Rogue Productions: Shakespeare’s Hamlet

Lynchburg, VA – June 2nd& June 3rd from 6:30PM-10:30PM

Rogue Productions is putting on Hamlet, one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies. A reception with beer and wine begins at 6:30PM; the show begins at 7:30PM. Tickets are $15, available online or at the door.

Father’s Day Princess Tea & Craft Party

Fairfax, VA – June 3rd from 1PM-2:30PM

Each attendee enjoys a fancy tea party with scones, sweets, iced tea, & lemonade. Couples plays games and make Father’s Day crafts with their little princess! Ticket prices vary. Register today!

Open Life Drawing at the Workhouse Arts Center

Lorton, VA – June 7th, June 14th, & June 21st from 7PM-10PM

Ages 16+, come on down to the Workhouse and draw with a live model! Bring your own drawing supplies; this is not a class, but a fun, open workshop for aspiring artists looking to brush up their skills or portfolios. Models will vary from short to long poses, nude and clothed model sessions. $15 admission regular price, but bring your college ID and get in for $10!

Hand-crafted Mixologist Class at the Workhouse Arts Center

Must be 21+. This class will teach you how to create signature drinks to take your cocktail party to a new level! Any level of experience is encouraged. Registration is $45, sign up today!

Father’s Day Golf Tournament

Fairfax Station, VA – June 16th at 8AM

Teams of two compete in an 18-hole tournaments, with levels for ages 7-12, 13-17, and adults. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division. Registration is $70 per team, and includes lunch!

Date Night: Chef’s Table at the Workhouse Arts Center

Lorton, VA – June 16th from 7PM-9PM

Date night classes are a great way to learn basic cooking techniques and meet new friends! Learn how to make that date night special – and have fun while you do it! Registration is $150, sign up today!

Ballroom Social Dance at the Workhouse Arts Center

Lorton, VA – June 16th from 8PM-10:30PM

A night of dancing, refreshments, and a cash bar! The social dance will be led by professional ballroom instructors but not to worry! All skill levels are encouraged, and while there is no specific dress code, most attendees wear casual cocktail attire. Need a refresher? Arrive at 7:30PM for a mini-lesson! Admission is $10 per person for the dance, and $5 per person for the mini-lesson.

It’s Finally Friday! Concerts in the Park

Mineral, VA – June 29th from 6PM-9PM

Family-friendly concerts in the park for FREE! Bring a blanket and enjoy musical guests while your children head to the Kids Zone to run around with friends. There’s also a variety of carnival foods plus a Beer Garden, hosted by the Mineral Fire Department Auxiliary.

Workhouse Fireworks 2018

Lorton, VA – June 30th from 5PM-10PM

Join us for NOVA’s largest pre-Independence Day fireworks show! This year, the US Navy Band Commodores will perform the very best of big band jazz music, followed by a thirty minute fireworks show! Admission is free; parking in the Workhouse’s parking lot is $20. Enjoy food trucks and art exhibits galore in our festival of fun!
