Out & About Hampton Roads – Summer Edition

Come check out some fantastic musical exhibits! From pianos to phonographs, music boxes to circuses, this museum is home to amazing exhibits featuring Virginian artists throughout history. Adult admission is $10, Students & Seniors are $8, and Children 5 and under get in free!
Amy’s Dance Studio: Dance Social
Fridays from 7:30PM-10PM
Get your dance on at Amy’s Dance Studio, a Latin and ballroom dance facility. The social starts with a forty-five-minute lesson, followed by open dancing! Admission is just $5.
Tuesday-Saturday 10AM-5PM, Sunday 12PM-5PM
Explore beautiful exhibits at the Chrysler Museum of Art, started by the son of the car company founder. From historic photographs and paintings to centuries-old glass art to a create-your-own art station for kids , there is truly something for everyone! Exhibits change out monthly, so there’s always something new to experience! And the best part is that is it FREE!

Country-rock band the Turnpike Troubadours is bringing their unique Midwestern sound to NorVA. With their new album, A Long Way From Your Heart, the Troubadours will take you on a musical journey unlike any other.

Directed by George Lynch, this drama depicts the unlikely friendship between Russian and American arms negotiators and deals with the deep understanding they begin to foster for each other.
Artists and wanna-be artists come together for the Chalk the Walk ARTsplosion. Registration is on the boardwalk at 17th Street, and chalk art is displayed for three blocks. At Chalk the Walk, participants draw four by four foot chalk drawings. A theme guides artists each year. 200 competitors complete chalk drawings that are evaluated by a panel of judges.

Comedian Beatty Barnes has worked with some huge names in the industry and is ready to bring the funny to your night out! The show is age restricted to 16+, with general admission at $21.

This is Slightly Stoopid’s fifth appearance at the Portsmouth Union Bank & Trust Pavilion, and this time they’ve brought friends! They are accompanied by Stick Figure, a one-man band, and Pepper, a three-piece band who headlined for Warped Tour in 2011.
